	From the I'm so old that... file. When we were kids there were 2 and then 3 networks. CBS, NBC and then ABC a few years later. Everything was broadcast over the air and most of it was in black and white. As color broadcasts started to become available, it was a big deal. We would occasionally go to their house and watch something in color. It was a complicated affair. Pat would turn on the set and let it warm up for about a half an hour. It took that long for it to stabilize. Then he would spend 10-20 minutes adjusting the color. Compared to today, it was awful. Flesh tones would be greenish or purplish. The reds were always off. The living room TV is configured to open the video connection to a TiVo Bolt when it is turned on. I don't think that more information is needed than that. There is a Mini in Bonita's room and an old Roamio in mine. The Roamio has a much larger capacity than the Bolt in the living room. The content on the Roamio is available on the Bolt and vice versa. 	The house in San Jose is internet only, 1 Gbps with no data caps and no cable TV~~. When we were looking at dropping Comcast, both of the options from AT&T and Verizon were evaluated. 			AT&T recently added a fiber option to the neighborhood. Unfortunately, since they are not included in the utility easement in the front yard, their last 100 foot solution is to run a cable from the pole in the back yard to a point in the house that could not be much farther from where the access point needs to be. The alternative was to trench it across the back yard at our expense.

			Verizon was at least a contender initially. It is a cellular wireless solution so at least we weren't talking about trenching or putting up the only wired connection to the house. Unfortunately, we couldn't find any place in the house where there was a strong enough signal to provide service, so Comcast it is.
